Great keynotes don't just give people something to think about. They give people something to feel, and music has become one of the most powerful ways I bring those moments to life.
For years, I sat in the audience watching other people do the thing I loved.
Then I got hit by a truck. And it changed everything. I had always loved to sing, but for years I kept that part of myself small. After surviving a serious car accident in 2020, I started thinking differently about the life I was waiting to live. What had I always wanted to try that I’d been too afraid to pursue?
So I stopped waiting. At 38, I wrote my first original song. Since then, I've written, recorded, and released six original songs, created my first official music video, watched that video light up a billboard in Times Square, and stepped onto the field at Camden Yards to sing the National Anthem.
Today, music is more than something I love. It's another way I bring my message to life.
I'm a keynote speaker who sings, a singer-songwriter who speaks, and someone who believes our lives get bigger when we stop muting the parts of ourselves that make us come alive.
My six original songs have been streamed in nearly 80 countries and territories around the world. Rooted in my own experiences, they explore self-worth, belief, resilience, love, loss, unexpected change, and the choices that shape our lives.

The Moment It Became Real
At midnight on April 28, 2023, I refreshed Spotify and saw my first original song, Somebody, staring back at me. I had spent decades dreaming about making music and years convincing myself I wasn't the kind of person who actually did it. And then there it was. I may have freaked out a little :)

In 2024, the Lightbulbs music video made its way onto a billboard in Times Square, a pretty surreal moment for someone who spent so many years dreaming about making music but being too afraid to pursue it.

On August 20, 2026, I had the honor of singing the National Anthem at Oriole Park at Camden Yards before the Baltimore Orioles took on the New York Yankees. For a lifelong Orioles fan, and someone who once literally sat in the audience wishing she were brave enough to sing, this one meant a lot.
When the Music Meets the Message
Music finds its way into every keynote I give, often in little moments the audience doesn't see coming. A few lines a cappella, an unexpected musical callback. Just enough to surprise the room and bring the message to life in a different way. And when the event and setup are right, I've had the chance to perform some of my original songs, too. Because whether I'm holding a microphone to speak or sing, I'm ultimately trying to do the same thing:
